In the classes on health and nutrition I was teaching the wonders of oatmeal. One lady said that her horses run “hot” on oats, but “cool” on barley. It is interesting how barley is used in the summer as a cooling drink and many people drink barley water for good health. I think maybe adding some cucumber juice, would be a refreshing change from iced tea and will be healthier, too.
