How to Make Oregano Oil
- Get half an ounce of fresh oregano leaves. Chop them into pieces in order to make them extraction of oil easier. Put the chopped leaves in a slow cooker.
- Add 2 cups of any of these oils: olive oil, almond oil, or jojoba into the leaves.
- When the ingredients are ready, put the cooker on its lowest setting then heat the ingredients for six hours.
- Using cheesecloth or muslin, strain the mixture in order to separate the oregano oil from the leaves.
- Squeeze the muslin to extract as much oregano oil as possible.
- Transfer the oil in a jar and label it with the date it was made. The shelf life of oregano oil is six months.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
