Prostate itch is nothing but infection of prostate gland, which is medically known as prostatitis. It is commonly seen in adults between the age 30 to 60 years.

Prostate itch or prostatitis is acute or chronic. Acute variety is infection of prostate of recent occurrence, while chronic prostate itch is due to repeated infection of prostate.

    coli, staphylococci, streptococci etc.
  • Fungi.
  • Virus infection:  genital herpes.
  • The organism reaches the prostate via the urethra, due to sexual intercourse with an infected person.

  • Passing urine frequently.

  • Drink plenty of fluids to flush out the adhered bacteria in the urinary tract.
  • Barley water is helpful in treating itchy prostate.
  • Fruit juice mixed in cranberry juice is an effective remedy for itchy prostate.
    Due to its antibacterial property, cranberry juice is preferred natural home remedy for itchy prostate.

  • Drinking coconut water will help to reduce itchy prostate symptoms.
