Question: I am almost seventeen years old, and I first got my period when I was ten. Since then and throughout the years, my period has been irregular. There have been times when there is no period for 4 months, and when it does come, it will be only for a few days. There have been very few times when I have regular periods and last longer than a few days. I’m very concerned and I am wondering if I should seek help. Can you tell me the reason for no period for 4 months?

Hi, I am 25 years old, have been suffering from PCODS for nearly an year my weight has increased from 60 to 75 in this one year I have tried losing weight by diet and exercise but have failed, can somebody help?
A proper diet regimen and exercise, diligently followed will definitely reduce your weight. A low carbohydrate and fat diet, is necessary for reducing weight. Include in your diet green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, whole wheat, brown rice, beans etc. For proteins choose lean meat, fish, pulses, sprouts etc.
Exercise, such as a brisk walk for 45 minutes five times in a week will make a difference.
Drinking 1 glass of warm water early in the morning mixed with few drops of fresh lemon juice is useful in reducing weight.
I have been irregular all of my period life. I started when I was 9. I skip every 3 to 4 months, so having a period 3 to 4 times a year is normal for me. There was one time that I skipped an entire year. I was scared. I went to my doctor who told me it happened. I guess she had skipped 3 years one time. She told me it was just the way my body was. Of course, she also told me it isn’t good to let all that bad blood sit in my body. When need the periods to clean us out. She gave me some sort of medicine to get my period to start. That was a while ago. I’m now 26 I have a 4 year old now. The last time I went to the doctor was after having my son. Back then they found a lot of little cysts on my ovaries. My big concern now is that my periods suddenly went “normal”. I’ve been irregular all my life. I’ve now had a period every month for the past 4 months???? What could that be?
