Question: Is there any homeopathic treatment available for multiple cysts on ovaries? If yes what is it? Also tell me what are the symptoms of multiple cysts on ovaries?

Answer: A cyst is a rounded cavity with distinct lining of the membrane containing the fluid or semi solid material. Ovarian cysts are mostly cystic tumors. They are mostly benign tumors, but may become malignant in unfavorable circumstances.

  • Follicular Cyst: it is due to the non rupture of graffian follicle.
  • Lutein cyst: there is accumulation of fluid in the corpus luteum.
    There may be irregular bleeding

Symptoms And Signs Of Multiple Ovarian Cysts

Many ovarian cyst can be on one side or on both the sides. It is prevalent in any age group after adolescence. Following are the signs and symptoms of cyst in womb or ovarian cysts.

  • Abdominal swelling
  • They hardly affect the menstrual function.
  • Pressure may cause bilateral swelling of the legs if venous obstruction is present.
  • Burning urination, frequency of urination.
  • Dull, dragging and constant pain on the side of the ovarian cyst.
    It is due to the pressure on the pelvic organs.

Complication of ovarian cyst: abortion and rupture are the two complications mostly noted with ovarian cyst.

Treatment Of Many Ovarian Cysts

Treatment is generally symptomatic and conservative, but in some cases bilateral oophorectomy is recommended, particularly those who do not respond with suitable medicines or those who have the risk of malignancy.

  • Apis mel: Sudden stitching like bee stings, in the cyst with scanty urine and constipation. Back ache in sacral region as if menses would come on. Numbness in the legs, thirstless, pale skin, edema and affinity to the right ovary.

  • Iodium: Pressing bearing down the genitals, constipation:; white discharge which is ithchy, Drooping and dwindling of the breast.
  • Calc carb: bearing down in the womb, profuse and too early menses, obese patients, pressure in the rectum.
  • Colocynth: Paroxysms of acute pain across the lower abdomen, in the lower back and in the hip joint when attempting to walk. Pain is relieved by flexing the thigh upon the pevis.

This are few homeopathic remedies used in the ovarian cysts. Since homeopathy believes in individual constitution, a deep acting constitutional remedy will work well and it may vary from an individual to another individual.
