Remedies for Jaundice:
- Maintenance of good hygiene to cure jaundice. Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
- Abstain from eating out.
- Water should be boiled for ten minutes. It kills the hepatitis A virus.
- Take adequate rest to prevent jaundice.
- Drink ample water. Small amounts at frequent intervals of time, so that you stay hydrated.
- On rising you must consume 1 big glass of lime water. Lime defends the hepatocytes or the liver cells and protects them from any additional damage.
- Cream, oils, butter, should be avoided for a period of 3 weeks and after 3 weeks, their intake should be kept to a minimum.
- Until you recover avoid raw salads and cold cuts, especially from outside.
