Underweight Treatments:
Underweight is a very relative term and this measurement should be properly done by measuring height and weight. As underweight or over weight is defined according to the ration between height and weight.
If you are underweight according to the ration then it can be due to number of dietetic, physical, dietary or imbalance of hormones.
For dietetic problem one should follow the below given regime.
Thinness can be due to lack of proper nutrition or excess bodily activity.
Some times even after eating nutritious food one does not gain weight. This can be because the food which you are eating is not absorbed properly or digestion is faulty due to disturbance in the metabolism e.
Preventing Underweight Problem:
- Take good amount of rest. Go for a walk in fresh air for 30-60mins and have early morning sunshine. Have lots of water, meals should contain nutritious food and one should be without tension. Overindulgence in sex debilitates the body. The use of tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco eating unhealthy junk and processed food should be completely stopped.
- Do not smoke. Avoid chocolates, soft drinks, caffeine and highly processed foods.
Home Remedies for Underweight:
- Musk melon helps gain weight. The regime has to be followed very correctly. Apart from musk melon nothing else is eaten. For first three days eat 3kg and daily increase the amount till it is sufficient for fill you up. Melons selected should be fresh and sweet.
- Mix together one part of parsley root, one part of alfalfa and half part each of comfrey root, dandelion root, yellow dock root, nettle leaves, burdock root and dulse. Add all these ingredients in a liter of water. This should be simmered for 15mins. After cooling strain the liquid and again keep it for boiling till the amount is reduced to half. To the liquid add 50ml of blackstrap molasses and keep it in cool place. Take a dose of one tablespoon three times daily till you acquire a required weight.
- Figs are very useful home remedy for gaining weight. Figs selected should be dried. Soak 3-4 figs in water for 3-4hrs and figs are consumed two times in a day. Raisins are also good for gaining weight. One should eat 30gms of raisins daily for gaining weight.

You have not mentioned your height; weight is proportional to the height.
As long as you are healthy, fit and fine, do not worry more about your weight, it will only add to your cosmetic value, well that is fine.
Get yourself checked by your physician to rule out any chronic or debilitating disease, like tuberculosis or anemia, or hormonal imbalance as they also reduce weight.
Over physical activity with lack of nutrition may result into weight loss.
The following ingredients in your diet will help to put on weight;
Eat food containing fats and proteins, like butter, cheese, dry fruit like figs, almonds, consume milk liberally, eat 2 to 3 bananas daily as they are rich source of energy.
In your age pimples are common, but select a diet where you increase your weight as well you reduce the pimples. Garlic, coriander and mint juice, Fenugreek and cucumber added in your routine diet helps in preventing acne.
