Eye Exercises For Double Vision

  • Alternating Near and Far

This exercise strengthens the muscles of the eye that control focus. Hold a pen / pencil about 6 inches in front of the nose. Focus on the object for 5 seconds. Then look at a faraway object, about 20 feet away. Focus your gaze for 5 seconds. Then focus again on object in your hand. Perform this exercise twice a day for strengthening and improvement.

  • Palming

Sit on a chair, close your eyes, and place a palm over each eye.

Rub the palms together before placing them over the eyes. Slowly remove the palms after 2 to 5 minutes, keeping the eyes closed. Gradually open them.

  • Visual Concentration

Lie on your back. Close your eyes and breathe gently for a few minutes. Slowly open your eyes and concentrate on an object. Now, you must close your eyes and continue to ‘see’ that object in your mind. This exercise assist your eyes to relax, and enhances visual and mental focus.
