Here, the abdominal pain is a secondary symptom, it is not the primary cause. Rather the primary cause is coughing. So the focus of treatment should be to relieve cough.
Cough can be due to many reasons. It may be due to acute cause like viral infection or chronic cause like tuberculosis of the lungs, asthma to name the few. The treatment of the underlying cause will relieve the cough, for example anti-tubercular treatment in case of tuberculosis and Anti-asthmatic treatment in case of asthma.
Massage therapy over the abdomen for its strained muscles may relieve the abdominal pain.
Home remedies like lemon juice with honey are useful to treat acute viral infection of the upper respiratory tract producing cough.
