Question: I’ve been suffering from acute gastritis for some days. Whatever I take can’t digest. I feel pain at the bottom of chest after three or four hours of taking food and I am suffering from arthritis too. Please suggest treatment to get relief from this trouble.

Gastritis refers to an inflammatory condition of the gastric mucosa (inner lining in the stomach).
It is essential to treat gastritis disorder in its early stage itself, to prevent a progression of the disease, leading to severe problems.

- Bloating and gas formation after meals

- Foods to avoid with gastritis:
- Stimulants- coffee, tea, aerated drinks, alcohol, tobacco
- Pungent foods
- Spicy Food
Natural Cures for Gastritis:
- Chew on grated, raw ginger, ½ hour before and after meals to prevent gastritis. Ginger enhances the digestive processes and reduces dyspeptic attacks.
- Cumin seed, a traditional herb, is very useful for gastritis cure. It allays nausea, acidity and abdominal discomfort within minutes, preventing a further progression of the disease.Boil 2 tablespoons of cumin seeds in 1 glass of water. Cool and drink.
- Cold milk should be consumed liberally. It is an antacid.
- Avoid taking foods that are too hot or too cold.
- It is important that you begin your day with foods that are alkaline and not acidic. Eat a snack every 3 hours. This prevents acidity and a reflux.
