What Causes Excess Gas or Flatulence?

- Because excessive gas can also be caused by indigestion, one has to make sure that his digestive system is functioning properly. Moreover, make sure to drink plenty of water during meals to ensure that digestion will be done properly. As far as the diet is concerned, include fiber on the diet as this will make digestion easier and fast.
- Drink enough yogurts or add asafetida to dishes as these are known to limit gases in the body. Live yogurt is one of the most commercially available treatments for body gas.
- Exercise regularly. This will assist your body in digesting the food you’ve taken.
- Although spices are known to produce gases, there are some that acts in the opposite. These spices are cumin, coriander, and caraway. Regular intake of these spices or mixing them with some dishes will reduce body gases.
- There are some charcoal tablets that one may take to reduce both the quantity of body gas as well as the odor associated with it.
