I shall give you an overview of mud therapy to manage diabetes.

Impurities – free mud / clay is mixed with hot water to form a smooth paste. It is then spread on to a sheet. The body is subsequently wrapped in the sheet. A blanket is then covered over the sheet. The treatment session lasts from 20 minutes to 30 minutes. It is followed up by a warm water bath and a then a cold shower.
