Tamiflu Swine Flu | Swine Flu and Tamiflu, Relenza, and Oseltamivir

From the onset of swine flu about a century ago, scientists and researchers have not yet found the best cure for swine flu. Swine flu was not even recognized as the cause of the pandemic until years later. However, in the twentieth century outbreak of this viral disease, people are now to some extent ready for this infection.

Tamiflu and Swine Flu

Swine flu treatment is readily available in almost all pharmacies.

Tamiflu, for instance, is one of the antiviral cures for swine flu. It can be purchased from a local pharmacy or you can have it ordered online. Tamiflu, also called by its generic name Oseltamivir, is a prescription that is for antiviral medication. It is used to treat influenza infections that occur among children and adults.

Swine flu Tamiflu treatment has also been found to cure bird flu and prevents any other form of flu infection once taken accordingly.

The important thing concerning Tamiflu is its non-adverse reactions with other medications. Hence, you can take Tamiflu while under other medications. On the other hand, Tamiflu is different from other antiviral drugs such as Flumadine and Symmetrel because Tamiflu is both effective in fighting type A and B strains of flu.

Tamiflu Dosage

It is important to remember for every drug to be taken that the dosage is of course according to strict adherence with the doctor’s prescription.

As the doctor would advise a patient with flu, Tamiflu can be taken with a full glass of water for each capsule. In the suspension form, however, it is necessary to shake the suspension well before taking a dose. A Tamiflu capsule can also be taken with or without prior intake of food as many people sometimes do not eat before taking the medicine. Tamiflu can be taken twice a day for five days depending upon the doctor’s prescription.

Tamiflu Side Effects

Just like all other drugs Tamiflu has its respective side effects. However, in the case of Tamiflu swine flu, there are only mild side effects that may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, cough, and other respiratory symptoms. Of course, other side effects apart from these listed here could be adverse so it is best to consult your physician to avoid further complications. It is also important to inform your doctor early on during your consultation of whatever allergic reactions you have to certain drugs as this would help you avoid much risk.
