Despite the few minor side effects, getting the vaccine is still the best remedy and prevention tool for swine flu.  So far, since swine flu vaccination was conducted in the United States and other parts of the world, there were no deaths or serious adverse effects linked to swine flu vaccination.

Of the total vaccinated population, 44 percent of participants were observed to have mild side effects after 7 days of getting their initial dose of the swine flu vaccine. Another 2.5 percent of the recipients also reported some local side effects, while no severe adverse events were reported after giving of the immunization.

While more than  80 percent of those said to have received Novartis’s H1N1 vaccine have been noted to have experienced adverse reactions after the first or both doses.

There are two reported side effects of the swine flu vaccine administered among humans.  One is on the location or the area in the body where vaccination was administered and the other is the systemic effects or the general effect of the vaccine on the human body.
