How do I know if I a recovering from swine flu? Does the h1n1 virus show any lesser symptoms when I am recovering from the infection?

Recovery in swine flu depends upon the age and underlying medical condition of the infected person. For a normal adult with no underlying medical condition, it takes about the same time as a normal flu i.e. about seven to ten days.
    • However for a person suffering from an underlying condition, the flu could complicate matters if not treated. Most often, a person recovers from the flu without major complications.
    • Ideally after the onset of the flu, symptoms will gradually reduce in intensity as the days pass by with or without medication. If this doesn’t happen you should be concerned and report to your doctor immediately.
    • Also you should take special precautions not to spread the virus to others. The virus is extremely contagious and if you continue your routine activities, without taking the precautions you may be putting others at a greater risk then yourself.
    • Follow the suggestions/precautions mentioned here and you should be just fine.
