Antiviral drugs are the only effective treatment for people who are infected with swine flu. These drugs can make the disease milder and make the patient feel better faster.
For treatment using antiviral drugs, it is best if taken soon after two days of symptoms.
On the other hand, the CDC or US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the use of Oseltamivir or Tamiflu for the treatment as well as prevention of infection. But in some cases, most individuals recover from swine flu without other antiviral drug intake.
