Natural Back Pain Remedy | Natural Treatment for Constipation
Back Pain and Constipation Causes:
Back pain is usually caused by a strain in the back muscles, and it would usually be painful and hinders some individuals to perform certain tasks that would require physical strength. It can be due to other health condition such as:
- Urinary tract infection that usually affects or may have ascended to the kidneys. Back pain would usually be fairly common in such circumstances.
- Poor exercise and straining the back muscles.This is usually the result if a person trying to lift or carry something heavy and does not use proper body mechanics in doing so.
- Spinal hernia. A very serious condition, it can likely cause back pain.
Constipation, on the other hand, is the inability to pass stools on a regular basis. The end result would be hardened stools. Impacted stools are a different story. Constipation can cause trauma especially in children because of the pain.
Treating Back Pain and Constipation
To treat back pain, here are the following measures and methods you can do:
- Undergo acupuncture.
- Massage the painful area.
- Apply hot compress in the area. This will allow blood to rush into it, and this usually helps to relax the muscle.
Treating constipation:
- Exercise.
- Drink plenty of water and fluids, favorable 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.
- Eat fruits and vegetables.
- If one experiences difficulty in bowel movement due to constipation, enema usually helps.
Preventing Back Pain and Constipation
To prevent back pain, the person should observe the proper body mechanics especially when moving or carrying heavy objects. This is better understood if one understands the basics. The main concept in the proper body mechanics is to widen the base of your support, hence, the feet. Never bend your back when picking something up. Instead, use your knees to bend down and pick. That way, there is good foundation and base, lowering the risk of strain in the back muscles and preventing back pains and the like.
To prevent constipation, an individual must observe a regular bowel movement schedule. Drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious and healthy food. Most preferably eat food rich in fiber as fiber helps facilitate the absorption and the removal of the waste products. Observe a healthy lifestyle as well.
