Question: What can I do and give to a 6year old boy that has muscular weakness on his left leg as a result of injection. It happened some months back and the leg is getting shrink.

It appears that your case is a typical cause of iatrogenic muscular atrophy after receiving and intra muscular injection. The shrinking of the foot that you observe is due to the wasting of the hamstrings which occurs as a result of reduced or non usage of the specific muscle. These exercises are essential as they will maintain the tone of the muscle and avoid muscle atrophy (i.e. wasting or shrinking).
- Use hot packs to alleviate muscular pain if any.
- Use supportive like splints.
