Answer: Peri-arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the shoulder joint. The cause of the disease is not known but diabetics are more prone to this condition. Trauma or exposure to severe cold may also result in painful shoulder joint. Tubercular effusion in shoulder joint can result in pain and restricted movement of the shoulder.

It is also called frozen shoulder; the movements are restricted due to mild or severe pain and some times due to adhesion’s.

  • Gradually pain reduces (creating a cycle). Shoulder stiffness hinders normal movement, while reduced movement increases stiffness.

Investigation in periarthritis of shoulder joint:

  • X-ray of the shoulder joint, in some chronic cases MRI is also suggested to detect any effusion in the joint.

  • Pain gradually becomes less but in some cases stiffness prevails.

    i have a frozen shoulder(my left shoulder) n it pains me to lift my arm up n also during my sleep please help i tried taking injection but i helped a month or so but no cure,please help me some exercises or anything else i should do to get cured i cannot afford expensive medicines.
