Question: My daughter suffered two fractures, metaphyseal fracture of left proximal humerus, and metaphyseal fracture of left distal tibia. I’m 100% sure that the ankle was done by slamming down her feet on the side of an iron cot but I’ve no idea about the shoulder which is constantly popping. Is there a disorder for these symptoms?
Answer: The Sholder joint, is a multiaxial synovial ball and socket joint. The joint articulates the head of the humerus to the glenoid fossa of the scapula. A proximal humerus fracture is a common injury to the shoulder, especially among the elderly affected by osteoporosis or the children, prone to falls and injuries.
