- Use baking soda as a face cleanser: Make a paste of baking soda and water by mixing them in a bowl. The proportion of baking soda and water should be in the ratio of 2:1 that is two parts of baking soda and 1 part of water. Consistency of the paste should be similar to that of tooth paste. Rub the solution on your face in circular motion in a gentle manner to remove the accumulated dirt on your face. After two minutes wash your face with lukewarm water and pat you face with a clean towel.
How To Use Baking Soda For Acne?
- Baking soda as a mask to treat acne: In a similar way as you do for face cleanser, prepare baking soda paste. Apply the paste on your face and keep it for 30 minutes or until the paste gets completely dry instead of cleaning it after 2 minutes as you do in baking soda cleanser. After it gets dry rinse your face with water.
- For some skin types baking soda cleanser and baking soda exfoliating mask can be extremely drying. Or if you have dry skin, add few drops of glycerin to lukewarm water and rinse your face with this water to retain moisture and prevent your skin to become dry. You can also use honey facial mask or any moisturizer after baking soda treatment for acne to prevent peeling of skin.
