Body Cleansing and Detox with Water
One of the simple and most important elements for cleansing and detoxification of the body is water. Water is needed for flushing out the toxins, keep the tissues hydrated, maintain skin tone and keep our energy up to the required level. At least two liters of water should be consumed daily for proper flushing out of the toxins. If plain water does not appeal, add lemon juice to it.
Natural Detox at Home and Fibers
- Fibers are also essential in removal of toxins from the body.Fibers help us keep our cholesterol and blood sugar in check and also it is useful in smooth functioning of our bowels.
- Due to our hectic lifestyle we are more likely to grab a bite of fast-food or food which is ready to eat which may not be healthy enough to our body because there is very little fiber content in it and this leads to stagnation of toxins in the body. Hence fibers are essential in removing these toxins from the body.
- Foods which have dietary fibers are apples, barley, beans and other legumes, fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, oat bran, soy and brown rice etc.
Antioxidants and Natural Detox
- These are foods which carry negative particles from the body for drainage purpose. They contain health enhancing properties that protects cells and tissues.
- Red tomatoes, broccoli, pumpkin, carrots, sweet potatoes, egg plants, plums, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries etc. are some of the food articles which help in body detoxification.
Natural Remedies for Detox
- It very essential to have enough calcium as it is used up when there is stress. Two glasses of skimmed milk a day is helpful.
- Cut down on salt and coffee and avoid alcohol, tobacco and food articles which are difficult for digestion (fatty and rich food).
- Consumption of only fruits and raw vegetables for a week will detox the body.
- Very important thing for detoxification is, there should be no stress and worries. During stress there is a constriction of the blood capillaries and vessels which raises the blood pressure and slows down all the functions. So stress relieving is very important for detoxification and regular exercise such as walking, swimming, jogging or playing some sports (badminton) daily for half an hour can relieve the stress.
