Applied Kinesiology is the study of mechanics of body movements. It identifies weaknesses in specific muscles and is capable of determining particular health problems, and can resolve the problem by stimulating or relaxing these key muscles.

Applied Kinesiology uses

  • Applied Kinesiology claims to be both a diagnostic technique and approach to therapy.
  • It is recommended for a variety of muscle problems, for treatment of jaw disorders and for diagnosis of various food allergies and nutritional deficiencies. It associates various muscles with specific organs and glands of the body.
  • For example a weak deltoid muscle reflects lung problems or nutritional deficiency. And strengthening certain leg-muscles can stimulate adrenal glands.

Procedure of Treatment of Applied Kinesiology

  • An analysis of posture, gait and range of motion is done.
  • Tests are conducted to see whether the muscles are strong enough to maintain a given position, against manual pressure by practitioner or if the muscles are weak.
  • To isolate the source of your trouble you maybe made to touch various areas of the body.
  • Nutrients are tested, by placing them on the tongue for 10-20 seconds.
  • Treatments may vary from deep massage, nutritional therapy, cranial therapy, joint manipulation and realignment, meridian therapy and diet management.

Benefits of Applied Kinesiology

It aims at providing non-equipment intensive assessment of patients health status, improve range of motion, restore postural balance, correct impaired gait, achieve balance of endocrine, immune, digestive and other internal functions; restore normal neuromuscular function. However it warns that muscle testing alone is insufficient for determining a person’s nutritional deficiency.
